Hello, We recently bought a AK-FFC 4P module. We want to be able to run uart script in standalone mode. We ran the uart scirpt (from the example folder) in "normal" mode with a computer and scoped the uart GPIO with an oscilloscope, and we were able to validate that it works. So then we tried to use this script in standalone mode. To do that, we used this [page](https://docs.luxonis.com/projects/api/en/latest/tutorials/standalone_mode/). We flashed the bootloader. And tried to modify the uart script to match the expected structure for the standalone mode. How to be sure that the pipeline is well flashed in the memory and is running on boot since we can not have logs ? Do you have a basic example which for example blinks a led or something like that which would allow us to properly verify that a pipeline is indeed operating? Thank you very much.

Should be similar to this: https://docs.luxonis.com/projects/api/en/latest/samples/Script/script_emmc_access/ but for NOR flash. Keep in mind the storage is extremely limited (16MB on my board), which pretty much gets taken up by the FW and bootloader. Since the board also has EMMC, I'd suggest storing logs there, but we need to enable EMMC for USB devices (currently only works on POE mode). Thanks, Jaka

Hello again, I try to adapt the [object tracker script](https://github.com/luxonis/depthai-python/blob/main/examples/ObjectTracker/object_tracker.py) to run as standalone. But I'm not sure on how to do it. FFC-4P should have the EMMC, but I think you might be using an old bootloader or no bootloader at all.
First, use device_manager.py script to flash a bootloader onto it (USB bootloader - via DANGER ZONE tab). Then rerun the script and EMMC should show up. It is physically present on the board on OAK-SOM-Pro.

Well the 0.0.27 version is installed on it, but I will check if I can update it.

But for the device_manager script, we must use the pysimplegui library which has become paid. Initially we used the 30 day trial version but now we can no longer use it and therefore we can no longer use the device manager. Do you have a solution?

Yes sorry I was using an older version of the device manager. But with the last one no problem with pysimplegui, the device manager is running without problem.

I updated the bootloader version to the last one (0.0.28) :

Found device with name: 1.1.2
Version: 0.0.28
USB Bootloader - supports only Flash memory
Memory 'Memory.FLASH' size: 33554432, info: JEDEC ID: 20 BB 19

But I have the exact same behaviour when I try to flash saying that no eMMC is available :

Flashing progress: 0.0%
No eMMC memory available

I tried to make a factory reset or to flash a factory bootloader, but it didn't change anything.
I tried on 2 different OAK-FFC 4P that we have, but the behaviour is the same.

In your message you said that "It is physically present on the board on OAK-SOM-Pro." but OAK-FFC 4P has OAK-SOM and not OAK-SOM-Pro. Does OAK-SOM have eMMC ?

Well I just tried it with 2 OAK-FFC 4P modules.
But when I flash them with NETWORK bootloader, all the scripts are not able to see the device (even the device_manager) when linked via usb cable. The only way I have to make it visible is to reset the device while pressing the boot button. At this point, I assume that the device boots in "safe" mode with an old bootloader. But as a result it's actually an old bootloader in USB mode. And so the eMMc memory is still not accessible.

Tomorrow I will try to flash the application via the device manager while the card is in safe mode, this is the only way I see to be able to flash the script. Otherwise does that mean that we have to use a POE version of the module to be able to flash on the eMMc?

What revision is the device? This should not happen.

I'm not sure on where to find the revision on the board, but the only reference I see is "DD2090 4CAN FFC R7M1E7" so I think revision is R7M1E7. And the reference on the OAK-SOM is "NG2099 R1M0E3".

We have 5 modules ordered in 2 separate deliveries. 1 in May and 4 in June. The one from the first delivery and the 2 that I opened from the 2nd delivery have the same reference so I assume that all 5 have the same reference. An

I tried the same thing on 3 different modules with the same behavior. The last 2 are still in their packaging.

Should still work. I have the same SOM on my two modules. Make sure you use device_manager to flash factory bootloader and choose network there.

Hi, Well I think that's what I did.
Here are the steps I followed :

Run device_manager.py script
Select the desired device
Go on Danger zone tab
Click on "Flash factory bootloader" button
Select Bootloader Type : Network
Click on Submit.
Wait for flashing to reach 100%
Click on OK button once flash is done.

And then when I try to communicate with the module with scripts or device manager, no device is found.

Even if I restart the camera, make a new search, I still can't see it. The only way to see it is to reset while pressing boot button to enter safe mode.

You are correct, the rev7 disables the USB stack when NETWORK bootloader is flashed. Forwarded to FW team.
