  • And to add to that, @luxonis-Sachin has done some testing of NoIR filter cameras from ArduCAm in bright sun. Left is with IR filter, and left is without IR filter:


    So you can see that there is some loss of information because of the IR presence in day-time, but it's not a show-stopper in many cases.

    It's worth noting that we fixed an over-exposure bug after this data was taken, so likely the IR will perform better - so erik 's data is probably the best to work off of.

      • we don't have anything simpler than running the python script yet :/
        We'll be definitely adding this capability to our demo script soon, I'll circle back when the PR is ready
