**Hi everyone,** I’d like to confirm whether the OAK-4 S camera supports the USB-C interface for both powering the device and data transfer/programming. (Windows 10 OS) And also, possible to achieve 30 fps with full res of video quality? (Providing all the required hardware) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey @"Chetan_Barker"#3548 When connected via USB-C, the OAK-4 will enumerate as a standard USB device and can be accessed through ADB (Android Debug Bridge). This is handy for debugging and development, but it **does not support** running DepthAI pipelines or tools like `oakctl`. Also note: the OAK-4 can draw up to 25 W peak, so powering directly from a computer USB port isn’t supported and may cause crashes. The Y-Adapter is also incompatible due to the high power demand — we recommend PoE+ (802.3at, 30 W) injector/switch for stable use. More info here under 4. Yep — OAK-4 S uses the IMX586 and supports 48 MP (8000×6000) at up to 30 FPS at the sensor level, but full-res streaming is only practical with on-device encoding.

Full-res streaming is only practical with on-device encoding means? compressed video? Also, to program the camera from host IPC/machine, I can't use ADB right? this is for just debugging purpose only.

Otherwise the 2.5gpbs bandwidth will quickly fill up. You can program the camera, but you **currently** won't be able to run it through USB (to stream images and such). Thanks, Jaka

However, with the current DepthAI implementation and OAK-4 / RVC4 devices, we do not support video streaming directly through USB; it is currently only available via Ethernet/PoE+. jakaskerl USB will likely support streaming, but I would assume it won't support visualizer (device-side webserver) unless it is also connected to the internet (ETH)..

Chetan_Barker Is there any other way then connect USB C and getting ADB into device? Bcz, when carrying the initial setup of camera during blue light flashing, there is an option for static IP setup. I have used that, and it was unsuccessful. May I know this option I can't use or am I doing it wrong?

You can do a local setup (https://setup.luxonis.com) and manually set the IP there. Then scan the QR code.

this is not working if I use static IP address option. It is flashing yellow light quite long and after that to red

Ah windows. To set the environment variable there, you can do set ENV=STG. Then run the oakctl command again.

The update currently tries to pull the file inside the device - the fix is in the making. oakctl device flash -s with that environment variable should work. It will boot the device into EDL mode and then you can reflash it.

Also, I would like to confirm if the following CAT 6 cable connections are acceptable:

CAT 6: Host PC → Network switch
CAT 6: Switch → Power injector
X-coded M12: Power injector → Camera

Will there be any performance drop when using CAT 6 cables? Do you have any recommendations?

It's possible, but you have to use this - Update From Device (keep data).

Without internet. But this will do a FULL flash. EDL should work, but it's a bit finicky on older devices because of USBC.

That's fine. No drop should be visible, the bottleneck is the CAT5e cable likely so you won't see a difference.

I have successfully pushed and updated the OS.

Camera IP was 192.168.55.14
OS update was successful.
Rebooted the camera
IP was empty after reboot. It was not updating the IP address automatically from the PC port or switch.

jakaskerl For OAK4 the only supported outputs seem to be the ones indicated in the error message.

I have run the example code snippet from the OAK website, it is throwing error "[166697679] [192.168.30.11] [24197.817] [Camera(0)] [error] Resizer encountered an error: Only supported Camera node output formats are: NV12 (most performant), GRAY8 (very performant), RAW8 (very performant), RGB888i (middle performant), BGR888i (worst performant)"

RAW as in unbayered? Host cpu shouldn't be "too" bothered by the frames, but it depends what you are doing with them.

As for the error - as suggested - you are trying to request a planar RGB output RGB888p, and it is not supported.
