I see,

I was referencing this

The grey part will not come off from the other side and the ethernet pin is facing that side. As such I am struggling to disconnect the ethernet port.

Any suggestions for that would be appreciated as I'm sure other users might have experienced similar problems. I tried giving it to other teammates but they weren't able to get it out either.

Also, would I need to do a reinstall of any of the libraries or a clean boot if and when the POE is removed

No need to do anything, the device can function in both modes.
Though I am confused, AFAIK we don't make these cases for cable protection.. Where did you get them?

    Thanks,
    Jaka

Ok but if I leave it as is, it is not working at all, so what should i try out for that?

Regarding the case, It came along with the box if i remember correctly and it was from luxonis

Can you connect to the device with USB plugged in? Accessible via lsusb. Try another ubuntu PC just in case.

        Thanks,

I've actually been using windows powershell for interfacing with oak D

is there any guide for working with that specificially

            jakaskerl

I got the camera to work for an hour before it stopped working again. I just disconnected the POE and tried only usb like you said

Few things I wanted to ask about in the depthai_viewer

the center camera seems to have this weird static on it which is not present on the left or the right cameras.

Also, the point cloud in the high detail preset also seems to be similar levels of fuzzy, was wondering if there was a way to remove this

Thermal detection also does not work when I tried different presets. Everything else worked well

Now after thermal detection did not work, I tried to change to normal models but the screen remained black. restarting the viewer did not help. And after unplugging and replugging the usb, the viewer could not recognize the device and windows started saying the usb could not be recognized

making me feel like there is a problem either with the usb-c, library or the hardware itself

Below is the output of the command you suggested

Some help on this would be appreciated

              AryanKaul
Looks to be viewer issue specific to the OAK-LR. cam_test utility should still work (green lines). For device discovery, what error did windows show?

AryanKaul windows started saying the usb could not be recognized

              Soounds like a device corruption..

              Thanks,
              Jaka

What would be the next steps?

Is a way to recover the device or maybe try a fresh reboot of hardware and software? Some debugging utility

Or some possibility of replacement? I still have the box

                AryanKaul
Yes please. We will likely need to inspect the unit so we will replace your device.
(yes it was a typo, fixed)

                Thanks,
                Jaka
