Hi @"SarveshRathi"#2382 Check your network card for the IP with `ifconfig` (mac/linux) or `ipconfig` (win). Make sure they are in the same subnet range. My local machine is windows and associated subnet mask is 255.255.0.0. Im using linux using wsl and associated subnet mask is eth0: 255.255.240.0 Note: Any way to identify if it is associated to eth0 or lo? If this is not correct, how to change the subnet mask and what value i should set it to? To your alternate solution, which script should I pass the ip to? If youre referring 'script to manually assigning ip', Ive already done that, but when I run it, it says 'Cannot find any device with given deviceInfo'

Networking under WSL is solid but has a few quirks, I'd recommend confirming you can connect via Windows proper first of all, and only then troubleshoot from within WSL. As Jaka mentioned, run `ipconfig` in a Windows command line/Powershell/Terminal, the command works in all of them, which will tell you the IP address Windows is assigning to the wired ethernet adapter. If you then run `ifconfig` I'll bet you get a different set of IP addresses. By default WSL runs in NAT mode and you don't actually get full access to the network. This most commonly hits when you're trying to access services hosted within WSL from different computers, but I suspect something similar is going on here too. Other things to confirm, but I suspect you're running WSL2, what version of WSL are you using? `wsl --version` in Windows Terminal will give that. WSL1 worked differently and gave more open network access by default, WSL2 however has NAT mode as standard. Make sure you read through it and understand the caveats, but I suspect that enabling Mirrored Network Mode may help. It'll give your WSL instances access to the same network adapters that Windows has. It's not exactly user friendly to configure, but should just be a couple of commands. Yup, it's in NAT mode. Have a look at changing to mirror mode.

Note: .wslconfig.txt is what i made in the directory suggested. Is that fine? I just checked my laptop and it's `.wslconfig` without a file extension so it's worth being exact. If you see the same IP addresses and still can't connect though then I'll have to leave that to the experts at Luxonis. I've never used a POE device, I just jumped in as I have experience with WSL networking.

Did you create `wslconfig` or `.wslconfig` as the . at the front makes a big difference. Please share the contents of the file and the new ip/if config outputs too, if you can confirm you've rebooted too please as WSL will need to restart I think.

This looks ok as long as the switch is rated correctly (https://docs.luxonis.com/projects/hardware/en/latest/pages/guides/powering_poe_devices/#poe-switch-or-injector). You don't need the switch inbetween since it does nothing essentially. My suggestion was to use a POE switch, which can be used directly - without the POE injector to power the camera.

I still don't understand what you mean by "as soon as I move it crashes". Do you suspect a bad contact issue?

jakaskerl The Se 3005 switch does not support POE. So I have to use the midspan injector which is rated Single port 95 Watt/55V DC/1.73A, 802.3at. This should work right?

Im not sure what is the issue exactly, but right now it finds the device then returns RuntimeError: Failed to connect to device, error message: X_LINK_DEVICE_NOT_FOUND

As long as you can see the lights on the ETH port, the layer 2 network devices should have no problem correctly routing the traffic, so I'll assume the issue is still on the PC.

Does pinging work in this setup? Check the traffic or tracert function to see if correct routes are used.

jakaskerl I dont see a light at ETH port, but the POE and power indications are on. Ping works.

jakaskerl When not specifying the device IP when calling dai.Device() the library will send a broadcast which will not be received if there are issues with the subnet. When providing IP, this will be skipped and should work outside subnets iirc.

And you are using the IP to connect to the device? I don't see why this wouldn't work then, unless there are firewall issues.

I'd suggest against using depthai_demo until you get the connection working, but luxonis/depthaiblob/main/depthai_demo.py#L210 has the deviceInfo part which you can hardcode with the IP.

jakaskerl I think the midspan injector meets the rating requirements. So i feel it shouldnt hamper the connectivity issues. Does it boil down to firewall based on all the debugging done above? if yes, how do you suggest I start debugging?

How about trying with a super simple script like this one that reads the IMU version? Just replace the line in it that Jaka provided above to set the IP address for the device and see what it comes back with.

Please use code blocks when pasting output from the command line as it makes it much easier to read. You need to do three of these ` on a line before and after each block. Note, it isn't an apostrophe but the key that is typically under the escape key on most keyboards. It's annoying that it looks like an apostrophe and often confuses people when it doesn't work.

Please provide the full output from ifconfig and ipconfig from the same moment in time as it looks like things are changing and I can't understand what is going on. I suspect in the update you posted you tried to manually set the IP address in WSL or similar? if and ipconfig output in the same format so the ip addr result isn't that useful to me as it makes it harder to compare.

Also please post the code you used for the IMU script, it needed to be altered before use and if you didn't do that it definitely wont work. Right now I've no idea what IP you're trying to connect to as you left that detail out so can't offer any advice. If you've tried something new please include that as otherwise we can't help you.

I don't work for Luxonis and I'm doing this in my free time, please make it easy for me as I'm very busy and otherwise just wont be able to help.

I got what I need from these images but next time please use code blocks. If you use images the content can't be copied and pasted to search for error codes for example and you can't expect people to manually type out things like that. You have to understand that forums like this are typically "best effort" for support which means you need to make it as easy as possible for people to help you, otherwise they just wont.

That said, it seems what has happened here is that you've manually set the addresses for your network adapters and the addresses just wont work the way you've set them. You are trying to connect to a device on 192.168.56.2 but that's the address you've assigned the adapter on your PC, not the IP address of the camera.

Go back in to wherever you set all this and chance it back to automatic, I'm guessing a bunch of other things have broken as a result of this, and follow the steps here:

I think you need to look for a tutorial on networking and how it all works so you have a better understanding of the concepts involved, if you learn more about that side of things it'll make troubleshooting this a lot easier for you.
