Hey am I doing this right?

I am trying to connect to robothub. I am pointing my OAK-D to the QR code, is this how it should be done?

Connect RAE to RobotHub

You are using an Oak-D.

This won't work. RH is supported on devices that run a linux system (RVC3 devices: FFC6P, rae; and CM4 devices: CM4 and CM4PoE). If you install the RH agent on a raspberry pi and connect the Oak-d to the pi, the it should technically work.

When I do this, would robot hub enable me to manage and maintain all my oak-d devices from one place?

@CodeGenius yes that's the purpose of RobotHub Cloud - to provide easy management of your cameras.

Given that you mention OAK-D specifically - this is RVC2 based camera that doesn't have any Linux OS / can't work standalone.

The way to connect it and manage it using RobotHub Cloud - you would install the RobotHub Agent on a compatible Linux machine (Raspberry Pi OS / Ubuntu 22.04, with x86_64 or aarch64 architecture). This machine then has these OAK-D camera(s) connected to it and can be monitored/managed remotely.

We are aware that the documentation is lacking but we are working on it with the highest priority.

Is there a cloud specifically for Oak-D cameras?

CodeGenius I am not sure I understand, there is only one RobotHub Cloud and it supports all our products. Only RVC3 and newer generation devices can connect directly. RVC2 devices like OAK-D need to be connected to a computer which you then connect to the cloud.

Thanks for the info! I hope Nvidia Jetson works too in lieu of Raspberry Pi 🙂

CodeGenius yes, we dont test on Jetson, but as long as the OS is 64bit Ubuntu (20.04 or 22.04) it should work fine
