OV9282 ribbon cable

Hi there,
could you please provide me with more detailed info on a short ribbon cable connecting the sensor with its PCB (see the picture), such as the identification code and manufacturer? Our integrated design requires prolonging a ribbon cable to reach a mounting position.

I think it's best to ask someone at Arducam, the manufacturer of the sensor and the cable.

I contacted the manufacturer, unfortunately, they did not provide me with any useful info. I would like to try to contact a PCB connector manufacturer. Could you please forward me the connector manufacturer's name?

We managed to manufacture the extension connector PCB according to the components from the table you linked. The cam_test.pyfinds the IMX378 camera connected to FFC board, but the image is not streamed. Do you see any hardware inconvenience in our design? Since we could not get any CCM with a longer ribbon cable, we made a connector board that simply contains 2 connectors (the same as on the camera module PCB), so it is expected to be working that way. The prolongation FPC cable is 50 millimeters long, might be the cable length a potential issue?

I don't think it's an issue with cable length, as we have 3cm and 5cm CCMs (OV9782 and IMX214 that are used on RAE) and they work as expected. I'd suspect connection - as without your adapter, I assume CCM works directly connected to the FFC-CBA, right?

erik Yes indeed, the CCM stream when connected straight to its PCB. The adapter PCB is just a double-sided connector, I don't see any obstacle there if the cable length is not suspicious. Are the cameras with longer cables used in RAE somehow purchasable?

Only PY139 and PY138 have longer ribbon cables.

Thank you erik . I am specifically interested in OV9282 that also seems to be offered with longer ribbon cable, according to documentation . Unfortunately, the cable seems not to be compatible with the module PCB connector (J2 in drawing), am I right?

Yes, you are correct, those are sunny style (old) connectors, but our (also) old FFC PCBA boards are compatible with them (green ones):
