documentation on UVC?

Hey there,
Does anyone know where to find documentation on the UVC node?
I'm playing with the code in this repo:
https://github.com/luxonis/depthai/blob/main/apps/uvc/main.py

And I'm specifically looking to see if I can preprocess images with openCV and send them to this output node.

Yep, thanks, I've seen that part 🙂

If that's all there is then that's fine, I've just been playing with using a Luxonis device as a webcam and I was curious to know more about the "UVC exit node"... I was trying to see whether I can run a full AI pipeline and output to that node, but I can't find anything in the docs.

Hi stephansturges , sorry, haven't fully read your initial post!
Yes, you can, but note that current UVC node requires 1920x1080, NV12 input as mentioned in that script🙂 Does it fail if you try to run such pipeline?

I've only played around with some camera controls input directly via the an dai.node.XLinkIn node for now so I don't know 🙂 I haven't had much time but it seems like it will work well to make a high-end webcam if it's possible to stream a cv2 image directly to that UVC node ... if you say that should work I'm going to give it a try!

Hi Erik,

Quick question related to this topic. Is NV12 still the only input for the UVC node?
I'd like to directly output H264 encoded frames (generated with a pipe like this https://docs.luxonis.com/projects/api/en/latest/components/nodes/video_encoder/)

Unfortunately, that is not possible - encoded videos aren't supported by the UVC node at the moment.
