What exactly does `setSceneMode` do?

In using search in the documentation and the forum, setSceneMode returns no results.

What does setSceneMode actually do?

I'm guessing it maps each SceneMode to various specific settings values (white balance, contrast, brightness, iso, etc.). Can anyone confirm if this is true and if so, which specific settings are modified?

You would be correct. I'd have to ask the devs since I think this comes from the ISP itself. There are some predefined values for white balance and brightness, but I don't have access to the actual table.
