I just received the Oak D Pro Poe and I tried the Depth Ai Viewer and the Touchdesigner integration examples. For some reason a delay of 2 seconds appears, whenever the rgb camera is outputted. When I just output the depth image, it is very tight and fast.

For POE I am using a TP-Link TL-SG1005P PoE Switch 5-Port Gigabit Lan Switch mit 4 PoE+ Ports ( https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0763TGBTS?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details )

Is this a problem with the POE connection or is the device broken? Did anyone else had the issue?

Thank You !

It's is the default Depth Ai Viewer Settings, 1080p RGB and a 400p Mono depth stream, left/right eye mono 400p, all of them 30fps.

I would expect the oak d pro to be capable of running the default configuration smoothly?

Where could be the bottleneck regarding bandwidth?

jakaskerl Thank you Jaka. I was not aware at all of how fast the bandwidth is reached with a few streams.

Basically an 1080p rgb 25 fps stream almost fills the bandwidth… adding a depth stream than is too much. That is very sad.

Is it possible to use 10Gb POE switches with the Oak D to extend the bandwith? Otherwise it makes a lot more sense to use USB C over PoE in my Use-Case.

DepthaiViewer and Touchdesigner (Oak Top/Chop) were still not working as expected via the PoE connection…

In case someone is In a same situation, I found the older touchdesigner tutorial in the end very helpfull:

Simply running the py scripts and streaming the videos further via NDI produced a way better framerate and a lot less delay.
