Get Manual Focus Equivalent of Autofocus Focus Level

Hi,
When setting Manual Focus, we can specify a number between 0-255 to use for the Focus Level. Is is possible to query an OAK-1 in AutoFocus Mode for the Manual Focus equivalent number in use at the moment? I want to set up a slider from 0 - 255 that will update itself with the focus level in use when autofocus is set.

Hello gbanuru , unfortunately querying the current focus level isn't supported yet. May I ask what would be use case for such a feature?

Hi @erik , I am setting up stationary cameras for a vehicle detection task. During the one time setup process of setting the focus level for each camera, if I have autofocus run then I could lock the focus at the optimal focus level rather than testing different manual focus levels to achieve the same optimal focus. It's more of a nice to have. Also big shoutout to you and the Luxonis team for all your help and support in the past year. It goes a long way to foster a community.

gbanuru I understand, and we do plan to support querying of any/all settings like color cam lens position. I would suggest using this example, changing lens position with , and ., get the focus to the optimal level and use that value for production. Thank you for the kind words!
