Hi,
I just received an iot 75, with planned application being standalone and forwarding person position data from the esp32 over wi-fi.

The getting started guide talks about setting boot pins and has a picture of a dip switch, but my unit is fully assembled including heatsink. It's not easy to see, but it looks like there are pads but no dip switch.

Is this step still necessary?

Thanks for any help

Hello EvilRobotDan , so actually this step isn't necessary (there's no DIP switch anymore), it was for the old IOT 75 cameras.
    Thanks, Erik

erik thanks Erik. Just to confirm, as I bought mine from robotshop not direct, how do I check it is not an old one?

EvilRobotDan If it's not more than 1 year old, it's a new one. Just flash the bootloader and then flash the application.
