  • Convert camera coordinates to real-world coordinates?

Hello everybody, i have a oak-d lite with which i am trying to get the real world coordinates of an object that is in front of the camera and just can't seem to find a working example of it. So I'm curious if anyone has utilized a method within the DepthAI API or if someone has made such a method or something like that before? Thanks in advance.

    hey
yes, unfortunately i did but they where wrong.

i tried all of those but none of them seem to give me the right values so i was wondering if there are other ways or if i needed to do some kind of camera configuration/calibration before running the code and it gave me wrong values because of that.
    Thanks.

      Hi VihrenDanov
Technically, you don't need to recalibrate anything since you are using a compact device, which has been factory calibrated.
Could you post some screenshots of the spatial location calculator example? I want to see how bad the depth is compared to ground truth and this is the simplest example to tell. Is it off by a few percent or is it more?

      Thanks,

the actual depth is 60cm, as i go further(meaning the objects are further and further from the camera) the error in the distance gradually grows. I tested every single example that said depth or coordinate in the experiments folder in the depthai repo but non seem to be right.
