  • Using OAK-SoM Pro S3 with FFC-4P

Hi, we recently purchased the OAK-SoM Pro S3 and FFC-4P boards to experiment with using RVC3 (the OAK-SoM MAX version we needed was out of stock). We followed the instructions here to remove and move the resistors on the FFC-4P board. However, when we try connecting to it on the computer we just get errors saying no device is found. We believe that our initial move of the resistors may have been wrong, so we looked at the PcbDoc file for the FFC-4P board to confirm the resistor values. We believe we should move 2 10K ohm resistors, remove the 2 marked resistors, and add a 0 ohm resistor. We have tried this, but the computer will still not recognize the board. Is it possible that we have damaged the board, or are we missing something to get this working? Thanks for the help.

Hi @jjc999 ,
Regarding the instructions link, I can't find the tutorial you are referring to. Anyway, have you installed the custom FIP for the FFC-4P with som-pro-s3?

Hi @erik, thanks for getting back to me on this. Yeah I'm not seeing the instructions on that link I sent either. I was just referencing some instructions I have seen on which resistors to remove on the FFC-4P board to get the RVC3 board to work with it.

I have not installed the custom FIP, this is likely my problem. Where do I get this and what are the steps for installing it?
