Hi, may I use OAK-D CM4 to calculate object volume? I would like to calculate object volume.

I would like to check the relation between object volume and object weight. Thanks.

    Are you trying to calculate round or square shapes? Something that will allow you to correctly asses the volume from the 2d cross-section? Then you could use a segmentation model to get the area and calculate the volume that way.

        I'd recommend using at least two separate cameras (one front, one side, one maybe top) to calculate the volume of chickens correctly. I am not sure whether these are live chickens, or are packed and radially symmetrical. If you have irregular shapes you would need multiple cameras to calculate the correct volume.
        Software libraries like PCL (Point Cloud Library) can assist with 3D reconstruction and volume computation.
