OAK D PoE not connecting

Hello,

I am attempting to use three OAK D PoE cameras previously used at my job. We could not connect to the cameras through their system, so we removed them and did a factory reset on them (this was done by removing the front cover and via the USB-C port). This worked for one of the three cameras but not the others. The only difference between the camera that this worked for and the other ones is that the one it worked for remained in a temperature-controlled room and not out on the plant floor like the other two cameras. The two still non-working cameras we can not get to register as connected to the computer, either by going through an ethernet switch or by using the USB-C port.

What was the temperature the devices were in?

erik I'm not sure, but it was likely 25-30 degrees Celcius for a prolonged period. Additionally there was a piece of tape across the backs of both cameras where they were mounted.

samanthachong It doesn't seem this could be the cause then. Could you provide some terminal outputs of troubleshooting steps?

erik I had previously tried using this documentation. However, we cannot gain any connection to the cameras, either through the ethernet or USB-C connection. Even when plugged into USB-C the camera cannot be seen in the device manager. We do have the MX ID's but we are unable to establish a connection.

samanthachong In https://docs.luxonis.com/en/latest/pages/troubleshooting/ there are 2 commands to debug no connection on USB - could you paste the result of those?

erik Hey, Samantha's co-worker here. I assume the two commands you are referring to are the two Linux ones in the "DepthAI can’t connect to an OAK camera" section, but we are on Windows. We also forced USB2 communication but saw no changes. I can also confirm that the USB-C cable is working.

I don't think this adds to what we already know but I'll post it anyways: the line with dai.Device(createPipeline()) as device: gives an error of RuntimeError: No available devices. At this point we suspect that it's a hardware issue--any pointers on how we could go about diagnosing that?

Hi qianxu , what about in windows device manager, does anything show up under Universal Serial Bus devices? If not, please send an email to support@luxonis.com with this link and we can replace the device, if it has warranty.

I was also just informed that they would be in a location with an ambient temperature up to 40 degrees Celsius.
