How to get fps within script node

Hello I have a script node that is part of a pipeline what got flashed into bootloader. The script basically a mjpeg server. I have a question: I would like to report the fps, current brighness from inside a url of the script. How to do that? How to access the value for fps within a script node?

There's no FPS counter within the depthai/Script node, you'd need to implement that yourself, and luckily it's quite simple: example implementation here.

erik Thanks for the answer but that is not the answer I am looking for. There is fps value associated with video node in the pipeline. I would like to get that value from script statement, rather than computing myself. I also need to get the dimension, brightness values too, also from inside a script node.

Is it very limited when we are in script node? How to get around this handicapping?

You can't get pipeline/node definition inside the Script node, so the only way to get FPS is to calculate it. For brightness you could use exposure time/sensitivity and for dimensions you can just get width/heigth.

Hi jkchen46033 , my guess is that's because the frame is encoded - but please do share minimal reproducible script, so we can double-check.

I plugged in your code into line 54 where it gets frame.

Can you tell me how to fix it? And also where is the document for the jpeg frame object? I really needs this functionality but simply can't find a way that works.

I think it's an issue with the firmware that doesn't correctly return shape of encoded streams. Could you report an issue on depthai-core?
