RAW12 Color Image Support (12-bit Bayer image)

Hi,

Some cameras, e.g. the IMX477, support 12bit RAW output. Is there a way to stream this from a ColorCamera node?

I suppose the bigger question is, assuming the answer to the above is no, is there any way for developers like us to add support for other cameras/output formats? We are working in underwater conditions that range from very high to very low light so we need as much color depth and dynamic range as possible. Thanks for your time.

Currently, we use 10-bit camera configs, which are part of the firmware (closed-source). It would be possible to add 12-bit configs for eg. IMX477 and provide this firmware in a separate branch, but as it's quite time-consuming, this service usually comes with NRE cost.
