First, We are wondering the possible distance of face recogntion or identification with OAK-D-Pro W(ov9782). Do you have any expriences and idea for it?

Second, below lossless-zooming can hance its recognition distance for face??

    Hi RyanLee ,

    1. My guess would be about two meters, but best to try it out.
    2. Not by much, as lossless zooming is used by cropping from 4k color camera, but you are using OV978 (800P) color camera instead.

        I have some more question about it some more. And our application is patrol robot.

        OAK-D Pro W(with OV9782) will be mounted at a height of 20 cm (may be a little higher) from the floor, the OAK-D Pro W(with OV9782 is going to detect objects such as cliff detection and low chairs. And Also, we will try to set the dot projector to maximum. (1.2A)

        Here is the our question.
        Would it be okay to mount it close to the floor like this and use it with the dot projector output set to maximum?

        For us It would be even better if there is such a cases like us.
