Hi! I was wondering if it is possible for the OAK-SoM-Pro to act as a USB 2.0 host. The goal would be to talk over serial (USB full speed or high speed) to a peripheral device, with the SoM Pro operating in stand-alone mode. My reading of the datasheet indicates that the exposed UART/I2C/SPI are designed for this type of purpose, which are good alternatives. I was just curious if a "COM Port" type of serial communication was possible with the VPU, where the VPU side could do serial debugging/listening to the peripheral. Follow-up: if so, is this functionality exposed on the OAK-FFC-4P, or would it need a custom baseboard for this? Thanks in advance for any clarification!
erik, I wanted to confirm that the above Arducam module is compatible with the OAK-FFC-4P board?
https://docs.luxonis.com/projects/hardware/en/latest/pages/DD2090.html#oak-ffc-4p
In that product's documentation, it says, "Please note that only revision R1M1E1 and newer camera modules can be connected to this OAK FFC board," so I wanted to double check. I presume one would also need one of these FFC adapters?
Following up on this, I can confirm Arducam has an IMX296 module: https://www.uctronics.com/1-58mp-imx296-color-global-shutter-camera-module-with-m12-lens-for-raspberry-pi.html
Will do, thanks for the quick feedback!
Great news, thank you! Any chance we'll see a "slim" IMX296 with M12 mount from Luxonis/Arducam? Would be interested in both color and mono options.
