  • Thanks @erik, great news there!
I can't tell you how many applications this would open-up for us, as most bulk material warehouses are 9-10m tall, the additional range would allow us to mount cameras on the ceiling/rafters and open-up many more applicable sites for our projects.

  • erik may I ask if the new OAK4 cameras can be upgraded with the 63D TOF sensor?

    Thanks,

  • Thanks @erik. That'd be great.

The 33D doesn't quite have enough range for my application.

Upgrading to the 63D would help the RVC4 outshine other longer range TOF cams like Vzense and Helios2, which I am currently trying to move away from.

  • What would be required to upgrade the Vizion 33D TOF sensor to the more powerful 63D?

  • Can the pro POE camera be daisy-chained to one another using the M8 Aux cable or other alternative? And if so, how many cameras can be rigged in series?

  • That would be my preference, but I need to keep the SBC and camera close together in many instances.

I found an SBC and PoE PSE combo from Axiomtek, that should allow me some flexibility with how I install the cameras.

    Appreciate your advice @erik

  • I may need to install many of these cameras at height using a scissor lift. So I'm keen to avoid as much wiring as possible. If I can avoid using injectors by spending a bit more time on the drawing board, it'll save me plenty of headaches onsite.

    • Thanks erik. I might need to revisit PoE then as I want to connect an SBC to the PoE jack, but I couldn't find any PoE hats that do PSE.

I found an M.2 PoE PSE module that might allow me to connect an SBC to the OAK-D via PoE, I just need to need to change my choice SBC.

      • Hi,
I've an application where I want to connect power and data from my Raspberry Pi to the OAK-D Pro PoE via the M8 jack instead of using an injector with PoE.
How should I go about this?
        Many thanks,
        Mark
