  • Hi erik - if it was designed for the purpose I'm sure it will be fine, but thanks for the follow up.

  • Hi erik Is there any news on the Roboflow course stretch goal for the D-Lite kickstarters (such as a release date, etc)? I couldn't find anything in the kickstarter updates or forums, but apologies if I've missed it.

    Cheers,
    Harry.

  • Hi there, I received my OAK D-Lite shipment today and I'm having fun getting going with it. When I placed the order I ordered some accessories, one of which was the "USB Y Splitter" for injecting USB C power where an underpowered USB host (like the Raspberry Pi) doesn't introduce instability. Between placing my order and it arriving, I came across a Reddit post that raised concerns about the auto-negotiation of USB voltages, and that up to 20v can be delivered down to a device that can support it, and some "dumb" Y splitters could cause damage to 5v only devices.

As I really don't want to risk damaging my shiny new OAK-D, I thought it was worth asking if this problem could affect the Y Splitter sold on the Luxonis store. I did have a quick search through the forum to see if the question had been asked before but couldn't find anything.

    Any advice gratefully received!
    Cheers,
    Harry.
