  • Hi @jakaskerl ,
thank you very much for your reply. That means the cable in the Luxonis shop have a custom wiring and does not follow the industrial Ethernet M12 standard. So it wont work with a cable with a wiring like this:

Here is the link to the website of the screenshot (Ethernet M12 to RJ45 Cable). Furthermore, the pins of the M12 connector of the Luxonis Docs are numbered differently (clockwise vs. counterclockwise).

    • Hi Luxonis Team and Community,
I am wondering about the pin assignment of the M12/RJ45 Ethernet cable which is available in the Luxonis Shop (Link: Ethernet cable, M12/RJ45 – Luxonis). Is this pin assignment special for the Oak D cameras? I can not find any cable with a similar pin assignment on the web. Refering to the shop information it is unique or the shop information is not correct.

Luxonis pin assignment is displayed from M12 to RJ45 as a direct link (1-1, 2-2, 3-3,..8-8). Most of the other cables on the web match the following pins from M12 to RJ45:
      1 - 2
      2 - 1
      3 - 4
      4 - 5
      5 - 8
      6 - 7
      7 - 6
      8 - 3

What do you think about that?

        Hi Josh,
which kind of M12/RJ45 cable did you use? The pin orientation and assignment of the shop cables is different to the cables we normally have in stock. Did you check that and did it work?
