  • Get data from OAK-D POE with USB-C cable

Hi,

I am currently working on a project where it would be easier for us to power the OAK-D POE with a USB cable instead of POE and I was wondering if this is possible.

We have tried to remove the enclosure of the OAK-D and are able to power the device on with the USB cable, but the depthai demo is not able to find the device. If we power the OAK-D through the USB cable and connects it to a regular switch without POE we are able to run the depthai demo so it seems that it gets enough power with our cable.

None of our computers are able to detect the device when running lsusb.

    Hi olwm ,
    You'd need to change DIP switches (0x16) to enable USB connectivity on OAK-D-POE - see docs here.
