Hey rak-satyaki - OAK-D LR is an RVC2 device. Units manufactured after May 2026 do not include eMMC, and RVC2 standalone mode is now deprecated.
A standalone application can use NOR flash if the complete DAP fits. The model size alone does not show if it will fit. The DAP also contains the firmware, pipeline, assets, alignment, and package overhead. We do not publish one practical DAP-size limit that applies to all OAK-D LR board revisions.
For a new standalone product, we recommend that you also consider an OAK4 device. OAK4 uses RVC4, where standalone operation is actively supported. This avoids making a new product depend on the deprecated RVC2 standalone mode. However, OAK4 and OAK-D LR have different camera and depth configurations, so we must confirm that an OAK4 model meets your range and field-of-view requirements.
The OAK-D LR supports 1 Gb Ethernet, so a host can connect to it over the local network without a direct USB connection.
Luxonis Hub does not apply to RVC2 devices such as OAK-D LR. You can convert an RVC2 model locally.
For 8–16 units, please contact support@luxonis.com before ordering. Include your required depth range, field of view, models, and expected application size. We can then help select an OAK4 alternative or confirm the storage configuration of the planned OAK-D LR batch.
