Hi Oskar,
Thank you for your response.
We replaced the MIRO 52500 with a 5 V-compatible optocoupler:
Murrelektronik AMMS 10-1
Article number: 50010
Input: 4–30 VDC, 10 mA
Output: 4–44 VDC, up to 0.5 A
However, we are still unable to trigger the PP820 light controller.
We measured the STROBE_5V signal using an oscilloscope and observed the following:
Peak-to-peak voltage: approximately 4.10 V
Pulse-high voltage: approximately 3.83 V
Pulse width: approximately 200 µs
Frequency: approximately 30.1 Hz
We have attached photos of the oscilloscope measurement, optocoupler and wiring.
Since the optocoupler requires a minimum input voltage of 4 V and an input current of 10 mA, the measured 3.83 V may not be sufficient to switch it reliably. The 200 µs pulse duration may also be too short for the light-controller input.
Could you please confirm:
What is the maximum source/sink current of the STROBE_5V output?
Is this output capable of driving a 10 mA optocoupler input?
Is the measured pulse-high voltage of approximately 3.83 V expected?
Is the 200 µs strobe pulse width expected, and can it be configured or extended?
Could you recommend a tested opto-isolator, buffer circuit or level converter compatible with this output?
Could you provide the recommended wiring, polarity and grounding arrangement?
