Camera Model recommendation

Hi,

For object detection and size estimation, while the camera is mounted on a walking person - around chest or waist area, is OAK-D Pro AF recommended? Or would you recommend OAK-D Pro FF? Or any other model?

A wide FOV is not desired.

The end goal would be finding the objects and their sizes in front of the walking person. There might be some vibrations, but not as much as a drone I assume.

Desired detection range would be up to 2 or 3m in front of the person, (X_a in the image). Therefore, if the camera is mounted on the chest at e.g. 1m, and there is an object at X_a=2m on the surface, distance to the camera would be ~2.24m.

Considering this scenario, which model would you recommend?

Hey NimaSa - it's the right place to ask questions like this also 🙂
For this setup I’d recommend OAK-D Pro FF rather than AF.
Since the camera will be mounted on a walking person, there will be some vibration. Fixed-focus is more robust in vibration, while the AF lens mechanism can move slightly and cause blur. At your target range, around 2-3 m in front of the person or about 2.2 m camera-to-object in your example, FF should be fine since it is focused from roughly 50 cm to infinity.
