Today I planned to purchase the OAK-FFC 4P PoE baseboard which has native 26-pin FFC to support for hardware synchronization (FSYNC). Unfortunately the Luxonis store listing for the OAK-FFC OV9282 M12 camera modules specifies a 22-pin connector and notes that FSYNC and STROBE are not available over that connection.
Does Luxonis offer a 26-pin version of the OV9282 M12 module that is a direct feature-match for the 26-pin headers on the OAK-FFC 4P PoE? If not, is there a recommended adapter or 26-pin module (such as an OV9281 variant) that preserves the FSYNC trigger signal from the baseboard to the sensor?
My application: I am developing an experimental close-proximity, four-camera array for a head-mounted tracking system designed for real-time face and gaze estimation. The project utilizes a LattePanda IOTA 16GB host and the Hailo-10H (8GB) M.2 M-Key for inference. To maintain temporal alignment across all four facial quadrants (total area of 55 × 85 cm), the OAK-FFC 4P PoE baseboard affords the abillity to preprocess.
I need a camera heads meeting these requirements…
Sensor: OV9282 (Global Shutter, Monochrome); Mount: M12 threaded (to allow for 100 to 120 degree HFOV wide-angle experimentation); Infrared: No IR-cut filter (for tracking in near-complete darkness).
