How often to Calibrate Stereo Depth on Luxonis OAK-D W?

Hi!

Our OAK-D W will be subject to vibration, as well as thermal variation. Does anyone know how fast the stereo depth calibration degrades? Is there a way to estimate how long until we need to recalibrate?

I read the Dynamic Calibration documentation. It appears that you guys recommend retaking calibrations periodically and replacing them if the drift becomes large. Is this the best practice? How computationally expensive is running re-calibration in the background?

Hey mattm8600 - there’s no fixed recalibration interval, because drift heavily depends on your exact vibration/thermal conditions.
Best practice is to monitor calibration quality and recalibrate only when quality drifts past your threshold, which is possible with Dynamic calibration node. Check this page for more info.
