We are currently evaluating the OAK-FFC-PoE-1P module and are facing multiple issues related to power input, video streaming, and device management. We would appreciate guidance from the community or the Luxonis team.
1. PoE / Power Input
From our understanding, the device supports 40–48 VDC PoE input. However, in our system, we currently have only 16 VDC or 5 VDC power options available.
Is there any supported method to power the OAK-FFC-PoE-1P using 16 VDC or 5 VDC (directly or via a recommended DC-DC converter)?
If not, are there any reference designs or recommended power solutions?
2. Video Streaming Without Client-Side Pipeline
We are having difficulty obtaining a video stream without explicitly running a client application on the PC.
Is there a way to enable a default always-on stream (similar to RTSP), where the camera starts streaming automatically once powered and connected to the network?
If RTSP or a similar protocol is supported, please share configuration steps or references.
3. Image Processing Configuration (Non-AI Use Case)
Our use case does not require neural network processing.
4. Video Encoding Settings
5. Documentation / References
We have spent more than one week trying to resolve these issues using the available online documentation, but we are finding it difficult to get clear guidance.
- Are there any additional reference documents, examples, or application notes specific to PoE and IP streaming use cases?
6. oakctl Detection Issue
Additionally, oakctl is not detecting the device at all in our setup.
The device is successfully detected using DepthAI tools, but oakctl does not list or recognize it.
Are there any known limitations, required firmware versions, or network configurations needed for oakctl to work with the OAK-FFC-PoE-1P?
Any guidance or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Sakthi
