Luxonis is proud to spotlight our partner, Dataguess, whose Inspector platform is enabling manufacturers to deploy robust visual inspection systems without needing ML expertise or custom infrastructure. By pairing their no-code software with an OAK 4 S device, Dataguess delivers a fully packaged solution that turns raw image data into real-time defect detection: no coding, no servers, no complexity.
This partnership shows how a well-integrated software + hardware approach can make AI accessible on the factory floor.
System Overview

Dataguess Inspector is a no-code visual inspection platform that handles every stage of the CV pipeline:
Data capture from real production lines
Labeling and training of custom models
Workflow configuration (inputs, outputs, defect types)
Real-time deployment to edge devices
To complete the loop, Dataguess bundles their platform with a Luxonis OAK 4 S, our newest industrial-grade smart camera with enhanced onboard AI compute. This device comes preloaded with Inspector software, making it plug-and-play for deployment in any manufacturing setting.
Once deployed, the OAK 4 S runs trained inspection models directly on-device, identifying surface defects, dimensional errors, and classification issues with sub-second feedback. It accurately flags structural flaws like deformations, misalignments, and burrs, and can instantly trigger I/O signals to reject defective parts, streamlining quality control without relying on external computers or cloud services.
Built for the Production Line

Dataguess’s solution solves a key problem for manufacturers: how to adopt AI without a dedicated ML team or IT overhaul.
By combining Inspector with the OAK 4 S, the system delivers a reliable, secure, and fully offline experience. Everything runs locally on-device, and operators can manage inspections through a simple drag-and-drop dashboard—enabling fast setup and scalable deployment across multiple lines or facilities.
This makes Inspector Solo (the bundled product) ideal for manufacturers of all sizes looking to increase inspection accuracy, reduce manual labor, and eliminate unnecessary downtime.
Why Luxonis Was the Ideal Hardware Partner
The Luxonis OAK 4 S was selected as the embedded camera for Inspector Solo for several reasons:
Integrated design: Combines 48MP imaging with 52 TOPS of AI compute in one compact unit
No host PC required: OAK 4 S runs inspection models fully standalone
Real-time performance: Edge inference ensures immediate, frame-by-frame inspection without lag
Rugged + industrial-ready: Built to operate in noisy, high-vibration, and low-light factory environments
Flexible I/O: Seamlessly integrates into existing automation setups with digital triggers and feedback loops
Just as importantly, the OAK 4 S marked a turning point in Dataguess’s hardware strategy. While they had previously worked with Luxonis RVC2 devices, those earlier generations still required customers to manage device setup and external compute, adding friction to deployments. With the RVC4-based OAK 4 S, Inspector Solo could finally become what it was meant to be: a self-contained, fully integrated product that anyone could deploy without technical support.
“While we expected lower latency compared to a traditional camera and external AI computer setup, our main motivation wasn’t raw performance.
We wanted an all-in-one, compact solution that could be easily deployed and integrated on the factory floor.
Moving from the RVC2 platform to RVC4 made that possible. The new architecture processes image data entirely on-device, reducing latency and delivering impressive real-time performance in higher-FPS inspection tasks, even when running larger models with consistent accuracy.
That all-in-one simplicity was always our goal, and the extra performance we gained with the OAK-4S was just the icing on the cake.” - Habip Karakeci, CEO at Dataguess
This shift wasn’t just a hardware upgrade; it unlocked a new user experience. Dataguess could now ship Inspector Solo as a seamless solution that requires zero integration work from the manufacturer, drastically reducing setup time and making scalable vision inspection accessible to all.
Simple, Scalable, Smart Inspection
With this joint solution, quality engineers can deploy powerful, custom-trained inspection models in hours, not weeks, without writing a single line of code.
Inspector Solo shows what’s possible when intuitive software meets embedded spatial AI. The system is already actively inspecting components for metal-stamped parts, automotive seat assembly elements, warehouse racking and storage systems, and precision-molded industrial plastics, with OAK 4 S deployments across four different production facilities, bringing real-time defect detection and automation to production lines around the world.
