Recent Specification Changes to oak4/rvc4 Series - Clarification Needed

Hi everyone,

I noticed some recent updates to the oak4/rvc4 product specifications and I'm a bit confused. The product descriptions now show:

CPU: Changed from 8-core to 6-core
AI inferencing: Updated from 48 TOPS to 52 TOPS
Added GPU descriptions

Are these actual hardware changes, or just specification updates? More importantly, does anyone know the reason behind these adjustments?

I'd appreciate any insights on why the CPU core count decreased while AI performance increased, and what prompted the addition of GPU details.

Hi @Mulong - these are actual HW changes on the launched (non early access) OAK 4.

There are 2 less CPU cores, but AI performance remains as the compute happens on dedicated HW AI accelerator (DSP). Also there is an addition of GPU which gives 4 TOPS of FP16 AI compute when used.
