We have done our own testings here with OAK-D and OAK-D-W. With OAK-D at 15 meters and subpixel enabled there was about 8% depth error. Depth error should increase exponentially, so at 30m it will be above 10% for sure.
Actually, wide FOV will be worse for longer depth perception - you would want narrower FOV and/or wider baseline distance between the two mono cameras. We actually plan to create a long range camera for that, with 15cm baseline distance and M12 mounting holes so you can change FOV (narrower for longer depth perception, wider for... well wider FOV). Thoughts?
