Just wanted to add that I had the exact same problem with my Oak-D Lite AF. By monitoring the voltage on the CC1 and CC2 pins with a USB probe it turned out SuperSpeed was only achievable when the cable was in the flipped orientation relative to my webcam (i.e. cable plug's B-side pins are in contact with camera's A-side pins). I had to mark the sides of the cable plug accordingly to make sure I plugged it in the correct (flipped) orientation.
I observed the same behaviour in a couple of other USB 3.0 Type-A to Type-C cables, both short (0.4m) and long (2m passive cable + 3m active extension), as well as a short USB 3.0 Type-C to Type-C cable.
It hasn't prevented me from using the webcam as intended, but I'm glad I held off on buying a right-angle cable as I was originally planning, as it would have been easy to mistakenly buy one in the wrong orientation (not normally a concern with Type-C products).
