OAK-D-POE S1 - It’s not responding, even after a factory reset (only to ping)).

I have 4 OAK-D-POE S1 cameras which, after flashing and performing a factory reset (network) with version 2.30.0, respond to ping but cannot be connected to, for example, OAK Viewer?

Hey @UCL_LKLM

Could you try running a script like this and see if you can connect to one camera with direct IP and post if you get any errors. If this works then its a discovery/firewall/switch issue....

I have performed the following steps:

Connected to UCB (DIP 2, 4, 5 ON)
Used the Device Manager (Depthai 2.30.0) to Flash Factory Bootloader (0.0.28) → OK
Used the Device Manager to Factory Reset → OK
Connected to the Network (DIP 5, 6 ON)
Checked ping to 192.254.1.222 → OK
Ran your script and received the following error message:

                    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

AttributeError: 'depthai.Device' object has no attribute 'getDeviceId'. Did you mean: 'getDeviceInfo'?

yea, sorry, the script was written for DepthAiv3.... You can use the getDeviceInfo yes.
Did you get it working?

But there’s still no connection to OAK Viewer?

Hmm, okay — DepthAI can connect to the camera, which is a good sign. That means OAK Viewer isn’t discovering it.
Try:

Update OAK Viewer to the latest build.
Make sure your PC/NIC has an IP on 169.254/16 (cam is 169.254.1.222), or set a static LAN IP for the cam via Device Manager → Network, then relaunch Viewer.

Or just continue using DepthAI directly without OAK Viewer...

I’ve done a reinstall, and as a test I added your script to the "examples/ColorCamera/rgb_preview.py" (See the output below — your script runs fine, but there’s an error when trying to create the pipeline. …? )

Regarding the script:
You shouldn't open camera twice in a row...
If you want to connect to the camera with specific IP-address, you should do it like this:
(I changed rgb_preview.py with option to put in ip-adress(only 3 lines differ from original script):
