Hello everyone. I'm on the newer side of the computer vision space and have been tinkering around with my new OAK-D-Lite to familiarize myself before I begin a project. Currently working on my Windows 11 PC with Python 3.10 in a Python venv. I've gotten the camera stuck in a state of X LINK UNBOOTED, which is preventing the proper connection to XLINK and ISP for streaming camera streams of any kinda via Python scripts. I am still able to view camera outputs when I first plug it in (via a confirmed and tested USB3.0 cable) through the depthAI-viewer which is locked at 15fps. I belive I set the boot-up values too high (60fps when testing) in the depthAI viewer, because now it is stuck in the UNBOOTED state, which shows essentially solid color (full green/black) image streams. I have tried finding information regarding firmware flashing the camera, but from both the github repos and direct pip installs of depthai, I have not been able to get "python -m depthai.flash" to work. Here is the code I had previously used to get proper and quality output streams from the camera apart from the depthai-viewer: from depthai_sdk import OakCamera `with OakCamera() as oak: ` `color = oak.create_camera('color', resolution='1080p', fps=35) ` `stereo = oak.create_stereo(resolution='480p', fps=60) ` `oak.visualize([color.out.main, stereo.out.depth], fps=True) ` `oak.start(blocking=True)` I am a bit new to this so I'm worried I might have ruined something, but I'm hoping to fix it with the firmware flash. I've just not been able to find any information as to how to do this properly and my attempts have been fruitless with all packages not containing a flashing executable (that I could find). Hey @"Alcehmystic"#3577 — `X_LINK_UNBOOTED` just means the device hasn’t booted yet, it’s not bricked. The 60 FPS setting in Viewer isn’t saved to the device. This usually comes from a USB issue or another process still holding the camera. Try this: * Close DepthAI Viewer and any Python scripts. * If you’re using DepthAI v2, run one of the minimal core examples from the [DepthAI examples repo](https://github.com/luxonis/depthai-python/tree/main/examples) (e.g. `ColorCamera/rgb_preview.py`). * Or switch to DepthAI v3 and follow the steps in the [docs.](https://docs.luxonis.com/software-v3/?v=OAK) That should confirm the device is fine and get it streaming again.

The code is essentially the same as I provided above. I tried using the examples you mentioned from the DepthAI example git repo, but I was unable to get them to properly work without errors. I tried the rgb_preview and kept receiving errors regarding depreciated "dai.node.ColorCamera" -> "dai.node.Camera" and such for "dai.node.XLINKOUT" -> "daI.XLINKOUT" as well. These changes still didn't get the camera streaming, so I returned to my old code to see if I could dig any deeper into the errors to find the problem. It somehow just worked and streamed like it had originally, with no issue. My only issue now is when I close a stream from the window (pressing q in the stream), I can no longer execute code on the camera until I re-plug it as it is unrecognized by the code since it is in the X LINK UNBOOTED state. It looks like you didn't install DepthAi correctly. I would warmly suggest you start from scretch and follow DepthAi v3 guide, and install it as it says on this page: https://docs.luxonis.com/software-v3/depthai/ Then I would recommend starting from our examples `depthai-core\examples\python\`

@"OskarSonc"#p31569 I followed through the steps you mentioned for installing DepthAI v3, and I was able to get these examples working properly without any finagling around. I believe you were correct, and I was simply just installing the depthAI and depthAI-sdk packages incorrectly. However, once I run one of the given examples (working properly and displaying), I am unable to run another script or viewer after closing the window via the 'q' button in the display windows. Hey @"Alcehmystic"#3577 — no, that’s not expected behavior. The camera should shut down cleanly and be ready for the next script without needing to re-plug. What you’re seeing is a teardown issue on Windows — the previous run is still holding the USB handle, so the next script finds the OAK in `X_LINK_UNBOOTED` until you reconnect it. Could you let me know which example you ran, how you launched it, and whether you changed anything in the code? Also, please enable debug logging so we can see what’s happening right before it hangs. In PowerShell, run this before starting your script: `$env:DEPTHAI_LEVEL = "debug"` Or if you run in cmd: `set DEPTHAI_LEVEL=debug` Then rerun the example and share the last lines of output here.

I have run several examples with the same resultant error after closing the scripts. In this case, I ran the stereo.py example from the examples\\python\\StereoDepth directory in CMD. I am unsure why the camera is being left in this unbooted state after closing via the stereo window's 'q' close protocol. I did try running this same process on WSL, but I was unable to get proper running of the scripts the same way I have on Windows. There were no specific errors; I was just unable to get it working with the right libraries.
