Overexposure on RGB photos in bright conditions on OAK T

Hi all,

I am dealing with an overexposure issue all of my OAK-T cameras in high light conditions.

I tried various manual exposure settings, manually setting shutter speed (100 - 8000 μs), ISO (sensitivity, 100 - 800), exposure compensation, frames per second. For the most part, none were able to produce anything other than a white image. Default settings (auto exposure) could occasionally produce a very washed out image with a few features.

Anyone deal with this before? Thermal sensor comes in great

Try the latest commit from luxonis/depthai-coretree/v2_develop. It has been fixed there.

I'm using depthai-python, is it the same fix for that repo? Looks like it just changes the client side commit hash.

How would I go about implementing that. Is that just changing the depthai config or do i need to update the firmware on every device?

luxonis/depthai-pythontree/develop latest develop is the Python variant of the above.

Will this be in the next release candidate and when can we expect that if so?

If not how can I go about implementing this change on my fleet of devices?

You mean the next main release? Hard to say exactly. There were many changes since March so I would assume soon.

How are you running the scripts on this fleet? You should only need to swap the depthai version - so python3 -m pip install --extra-index-url https://artifacts.luxonis.com/artifactory/luxonis-python-snapshot-local/ depthai==2.30.0.0.dev0+bca3ff1203061701963abb45aeaccdcf5b4a1f19
