We’re excited to share that Luxonis has successfully completed our SOC 2 Type II audit for Luxonis Hub. This independent assessment validates the strength of our internal controls and commitment to safeguarding the security and privacy of your data.
What is SOC 2 Type II?
SOC 2 is a widely recognized auditing framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) to ensure that service providers securely manage data to protect the interests and privacy of their clients. A Type II report goes further than a snapshot of policies. It evaluates the actual operating effectiveness of those controls over a period of time. That means independent auditors have tested our systems, processes, and policies to ensure they’re not only in place, but working reliably.
Our audit focused on the Security Trust Services Criteria, covering areas like access control, system monitoring and alerting, incident response, vulnerability management, data retention, and more.
What this represents?
Achieving SOC 2 Type II compliance reflects our ongoing investment in building secure, resilient systems that our customers can trust. It’s a milestone that reinforces:
Operational transparency: Our processes, infrastructure, and controls are documented, tested, and reviewed.
Data protection: Your data is encrypted whether it's sitting still or on the move. Access is based on roles, and backups are secure.
Always-on security: We're always scanning for vulnerabilities, running penetration tests, and refining our incident response. We never stop improving.
Accountability built-in: We've set up and tested controls that align with industry best practices, and we're committed to keeping them up.
For developers: Now you can build and deploy with full confidence, knowing Luxonis Hub's infrastructure is audited, secure, and built for reliability.
For security and business stakeholders: This achievement confirms Luxonis is dedicated to meeting the operational and security standards modern businesses expect.
Scope of the Audit
This audit covered Luxonis Hub, the cloud platform that powers everything from fleet management to AI model deployment on Luxonis devices.
For businesses leveraging Luxonis hardware, Luxonis Hub is where you:
Provision and manage devices at scale: Luxonis Hub empowers users to effortlessly onboard, configure, and monitor a vast fleet of Luxonis devices, ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing downtime. This capability is crucial for businesses scaling their deployments across diverse locations and applications.
Deploy applications and perform OTA firmware updates: The platform facilitates the agile deployment of custom applications to individual devices or entire fleets. Furthermore, it enables secure and reliable Over-The-Air (OTA) firmware updates, ensuring that all devices are running the latest software, enhancing security, and introducing new functionalities without manual intervention.
Store and manage captured data: Luxonis Hub provides a secure and scalable environment for managing valuable data collected by Luxonis devices. This includes the efficient storage, organization, and retrieval of captured data, which is vital for performing analytics, gaining actionable insights, and continuous AI model improvements.
Compile and deploy AI models to the edge: A cornerstone of Luxonis Hub's functionality is its ability to compile and optimize machine learning models for efficient execution directly on Luxonis edge devices. This "edge AI" approach reduces latency, conserves bandwidth, and enhances data privacy, making it ideal for real-time applications requiring immediate processing.
Luxonis Hub isn’t just a control plane for managing AI applications, it’s a secure, scalable foundation for spatial AI systems that need to operate in the real world, with real accountability. From intricate fleet management to seamless AI model deployment, Luxonis Hub helps orchestrate the entire ecosystem on Luxonis devices.
