Pink Hue Outdoors

Hi,

I have an OAK-1 OV9782 camera with a heavy pink hue outdoors. I have seen the other posts about missing an IR-Cut filter causing this issue, and I'm hoping to get confirmation that this is the issue I'm experiencing as well. Also, is RMA the only way to get this replaced, are there other quicker solutions? Thanks!

Hi,

yes, that pink hue outdoors is almost certainly caused by infrared light passing through the sensor. It seems like your OAK-1 unit is missing the IR-CUT filter, which should normally block that. The best way to resolve this is to submit an RMA request here: https://www.luxonis.com/rma.
