jimit Hello, I noticed that the new gen cameras come with a microphone. Is there a pipeline example to refer to stream audio? My end goal is to build an Android app that has the camera stream and has the ability to record videos with audio. Thanks, Jimit
jakaskerl jimit It's not added to depthai ATM, but the feature is in the works. We still have to test the sound quality.
mhinckley jakaskerl Are there any updates on the rollout timing for this? I also have a use case for recording/analyzing audio with an OAK4S.
Oskar-Luxonis Hey mhinckley - sorry for the long answer. There is already support for this on Luxonis OS 1.27.1. However we are still testing it, though, and it's not yet added to DepthAI. The plan is somewhere in April.

mhinckley Oskar-Luxonis So there aren't any Oak4 cameras being produced that have a microphone anymore? I was able to get the microphone working in my application container outside of DepthAI for my application and have it running in production so I am concerned about the availability of a replacement camera if the need for one arises.
mhinckley Oskar-Luxonis Also, does that mean the drivers for the microphone in the current Luxonis OS will be removed? If so, I'll need to know the latest version that will keep them so I don't update the OS to a version that removes them.
Oskar-Luxonis mhinckley - we don't plan to remove FW support for mics. Latests devices don't have mic anymore. I raised this internally and will get back to you with answer. Do you need new devices now or just in case of failure?
mhinckley Oskar-Luxonis It would be in case of failure. I had a spare OAK-4-S-AF but it won't power on anymore. I need to email support about it. Not sure what happened to it as it was on and running then all of the sudden it had no power and won't power on anymore.
Oskar-Luxonis mhinckley - aha okay I see. Hm for spare device that is weird behavior. How are you connecting to it? Does the light light up at all? Please tell more, so I can help. Best, Oskar
mhinckley Oskar-Luxonis I am connecting to it via a POE++ injector and nothing lights up on the camera and I don't have any network activity lights on the adapter on my PC. I don't know if it experienced a power surge that fried something or if something else is going on.
mhinckley Oskar-Luxonis I tried that and still no lights and the device doesn't show up as available in OAK Viewer 3.9.8. I can hear a high pitched, continuous, electrical noise coming from inside the camera when it is hooked up to USB or POE. It is an OAK-4-S-AF 3525G1 4SAF-T2535-0058.
