  • OAK-1 USB3.0 Cable [90 Degrees Right Angle]

Hello,

I wonder whether anyone has used a third party USB cable with the OAK-1
Size is a an critical constraint in my application, and therefore I would like to use a "right angled" USB-C cable, something like this:

Would any normal charging cable work? Won't it cause data rate transfer bottlenecks?
In other words, are there any specific data rate specifications I need to look for?

    Hello hussain_allawati ,
You should go with the USB 3.0 USB C cable, and from the looks of it, this is USB2 cable, which has 10 times lower bandwidth. You can recognize USB 3 cables by the blue color, see image below. Maybe check a cable like this, as it's both USB 3 and is angled.

    Thanks, Erik

Erik, thank you for your reply.

Yeah my bad I posted a USB 2.0 cable image by mistake ...

Anyways, I understand that ANY USB 3.0 cable would work?

I ordered this cable from Tether Tools

Will post an update upon receiving and testing it
