  • Low Speed with OAK-D PRO PoE Auto Focus - Bootloader or USB-C Issue?

Hi,

I'm using the OAK-D PRO PoE Auto Focus with a Club CAC1523 cable (which worked fine with the Intel D415), but I'm experiencing low speeds. The device is connected via a USB-C programming board which was provided with the kit, and the RJ45 is connected to my PC. Could the programming board connection be causing this issue?

I came across the thread Device connected in USB2 mode! This might cause some issues (OAK-D S2) - Luxonis Forum on the Luxonis forum, but I’m unsure how the problem was resolved.

Here are the speed tests I ran:

Downlink: 364.9 Mbps

Uplink: 344.3 Mbps

I also got this warning message:

[2024-09-19 13:35:01.225] [depthai] [warning] Flashed bootloader version 0.0.25, less than 0.0.28 is susceptible to bootup/restart failure. Upgrading is advised, flashing main/factory (not user) bootloader. Available: 0.0.28

Could this be related to the bootloader, and do I need to update it? Any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,Eden

The communcation goes through the programming board, which is USB2, hence the slow speed.

Connect the device via POE. Any upgrade the bootloader since it improves stability.

    Thanks,
