I have recovered information from 50 cameras (bought since 2023) and they have a typical lens position range based on the distance with a variation range of +/- 14 lens positions (from a total range between 0 - 255).
The camera with the problem (cam_01) has a behavior that does not match the other cameras. I have tested another 4 different cameras from the same buying order, and they do not have such offset in the expected lens position working range.

I developed a focus calibration system depends on a model that might be replicated in a generic way to other cameras, but with cameras with such a big difference as cam_01 this approach is no longer valid.
Have you encountered a similar behavior in other cameras? is it normal to have such a difference in AF mechanism behavior between cameras of the same model ?
