Hi yomuevans !
Thanks for sharing that. We actually hadn't seen it yet. Very interesting.
So yes this is the classic use of the Myriad X where the host brings in the image data somehow, and then transfers it over USB to the Myriad X (sometimes using a PCIE-USB converter in-between so that the host can interface over PCIE, but the Myriad X is still getting the data over USB).
So the following board we just ordered is probably of interest to you:
So this is the Myriad X, heatsink, power, and FFC connections to up to 3 cameras. It supports 2x grayscale Ov9282 sensors, which are ideal for depth sensing, and 1x IMX378, which is a 12MP 4K/60Hz high-res color sensor. (Note that the fan is probably not necessary... we just made a prototype with it in case. Our testing shows that a heatsink w/out fan is plenty.)
For reference, FFC are these little ribbon cables like what the Raspberry Pi camera uses:
And will reach out on Twitter... just saw the notifications.
And also please sign up for our CrowdSupply. We are doing a campaign soon so that we can do a larger initial batch order, to help keep the sales price as low as we reasonably can.
