Depthai-Viewer not reliable + low frame rate

I faced an issue with no-devices available on the depthai-viewer - restarting the veiwer several times and retrying allowed me to find and stream from my OAKD-Pro POE. Note that the cam_test.py script in the utilities folder of the depthai-python repo works consistently so I believe this might be a bug in the viewer. See in the image where the Camera Test tool has found and connected to the camera but the viewer shows No Device.

To jakaskerl's note in a different thread, I am using the default ethernet configuration for the camera (169.254.1.222) and my NIC is on the same subnet (with address 169.254.1.10). I am using a Cat5E ethernet cable.

Just to make sure.. Cam test running will make the device invisible to the depthai-viewer. Please disconnect from the device first.

Update: I was able to resolve this issue - it seems that I needed to get a new ethernet cable (poor connection). I am using a 1Gbit PoE injector and a Cat6A cable.

I am still facing low frame rate and high latency issues - even after reducing the resolution. Is this a viewer issue? Would I be able to stream at full frame rate and possibly full resolution?

An additional observation (maybe need to start a new issue) is that the pointcloud is "batched" and the z-resolution appears to be low - see the image.

Can you try with these scripts first, just so we know it's not a BW issue due to PC ETH port or something?

Looks like the issue is not the sensor but the viewer.

If you are running v0.1.7, please downgrade to 0.1.6. There is a huge difference in latency and FPS.

Hope it helps. Also make sure the poe test script shows 1000mbps.
