How to start connect and test with OAK-FFC 4P PoE module and OAK-FFC OV9282

Hello,

I am a newbie, I have bought a OAK-FFC 4P PoE module and 2 OAK-FFC OV9282 camera for education. Would you please give me an instruction to connect and test it? if possible please give me in detail instruction.

It the package box, it include 1 Ethernet cable, but in the board it have two position In and Out. How can I connect it to my window laptop and setup for testing.

Hi vandoitruong
The device supports daisy-chaining multiple boards together(https://docs.luxonis.com/projects/hardware/en/latest/pages/NG2093/#overview), that's why the double RJ45 connector.

Since you are only connecting a single device, plug the cable into the IN. The lights on the board should light up if the device powers on correctly. Then follow the installation manual: https://docs.luxonis.com/en/latest/pages/tutorials/first_steps/#installing-depthai

Depthai_demo won't work out of the box (at least for depth). Clone depthai-python repo if you haven't already, and run /utilities/cam_test.py This is to make sure both your cameras are correctly connected to the 4p board.

Then you can proceed with the calibration process to enable depth sensing. (https://docs.luxonis.com/projects/hardware/en/latest/pages/guides/calibration/)

Thank you so much, I have calibrated the stereo camera based on the instruction. But now there are two more problems occured, could you please check it?

I added one more RGB camera between two stereo cameras, and do calibration again based on json config example file. But an error occurred at line 1213:

Would you please check it and how can we fix it?
I have run this experiment: luxonis/depthai-experiments/blob/master/gen2-calc-spatials-on-host. Based on https://docs.luxonis.com/projects/api/en/latest/components/nodes/stereo_depth/ document the fps for 640x400 is at least 62, but we just obtain about 30. When we changed to 1280x720 resolution, it also reduced less than 30 and not stable, moreover it has delay in video compared to real world. Would you please give us a solution eliminate delay and obtain the best fps performance?

Could you paste your .json -- the one where you specified cameras used and their extrinsics. What error are you receiving, please paste the terminal log.
The numbers for the stereodepth are raw numbers for depth map output fps, meanwhile the spatials are depth map values transformed into x, y and z coordinates. The FPS decrease stems from the need for these additional calculations.
Try using the example from https://docs.luxonis.com/projects/api/en/latest/samples/SpatialDetection/spatial_location_calculator/ (same thing just done on device with hardware acceleration).
