Image quality in mixing IMX477 with AR0234 stereo pairs ?

Hi,

My setup :

OAK-FFC-4P
CAM_A : OAK FFC IMX477

CAM_B, C, D : OAK FFC AR0234

When I launched all four cameras for previewing, it said :

[14442C1081F4D5D600] [9.1] [1.874] [system] [warning] AR0234: mixing with IMX378/477/214 or OV9282/9782/7251 is not fully supported, image quality may be degraded

And I observed that the color/quality of the AR0234 was not as good as in the case there was only AR0234.

How to avoid the degradation of image quality in this case, please ?

Hi l4es ,
I believe this has to do with camera tuning, and would need to be implemented in firmware for best image quality. If there's a business interest behind the project, please send an email to support@luxonis.com and we can look into it.

So we might leave the imx477 and move the 3rd AR0234 from CAM_D to CAM_A for our current PoC first, and back to you when there's a need of higher resolution rgb. Is it okay ?

By the way, it seems that the combo IMX378 (rgb) + 2xAR0234(stereo) is supported here. Am I correct?

l4es I get the same warning you do with this combination sadly, I'd love a model for this combination if it's possible. I'm currently looking into turning my robot in to a product so may have a business case, sadly I dont think that'll be any time soon.

@erik, is there a similar sized camera module to the IMX378 you're aware of that is supported with two AR0234 sensors please?

Done, if there's any way to share the tools I'd be happy to help with this and share the results. I know they're proprietary though so expect that won't be possible. I expect you're busy with the Rae release so thought I'd offer at least!
