What I have done so far: * I have a PoE Injector (tp-link) that is connected to my ubuntu machine and the Luxonis device * My ubuntu machine runs a dhcp server that assigns an ip address to the raspberry * I can successfully connect to the raspberry via ssh The issue is that once I connect to the device, I cannot install any packages. How do I make my internet connection available to the raspberry pi in order to do so? So the recommended way is to do the following? * Connect the PoE device to the LAN * Find out what IP address the router's DHCP server assigns to the RPI * Connect to the RPI via said IP address? Thanks for the quick reply! :)

Hi all,

I personally wouldn't use the ubuntu as DHCP server unless you wish to run everything locally (without internet access).

You would need to connect the POE device (using POE injector if your router doesn't support POE) to the router that has internet access on the WAN port. The router DHCP server will assign IP to the RPI and you will be able to ssh to it using that IP. The RPI will also have internet access and so will your ubuntu machine.
