Hey all!

Great to see the OAK develop.

I'm wondering if it's possible to configure the OAK-D Pro with 3 * IMX379 wide angle cameras?
It seems elsewhere that it is mentioned that in general you can switch the cameras between IMX379 and OV9282.

Looking to make an outdoors NeRF capture rig for a project with many color cameras working outdoors, and the OAK-D Pro PoE IP67 system is a great baseline.

    Hi ElliotWoods!
I believe that would be possible, by replacing the 2x OV9292-W on the OAK-D-Pro-W-PoE with the 2x IMX378-W that you mentioned. Not sure if you'd need stereo depth, but max resolution (limited by HW) is 1280 pixels in width. For 1/2pcs you could change the CCMs yourself, or get customization coupon and we can do it for you (together with the device). And for larger volumes (MOQ=150) we also do customized production batches. Thoughts?
    Thanks, Erik

    Thanks Erik!

We'd be looking at getting ~ 5 units for 15 cameras total. What do you expect the price to be on that?

Wouldn't need the internal stereo depth feature since we'd be feeding data into a NeRF algorithm (which might mean that using these cameras is somewhat unsuitable, but I thought that the 'official OpenCV camera' is a good thing to include in the candidates).

    Thank you

      Hi ElliotWoods ,
I totally agree with you, and I think it's the easiest way to go with, compared to buying 3 different USB cams and mounting them separately. For the price please send an email to support@luxonis.com. It also depends on which device you want to start with - for NERF, is Pro version necessary (illumination LED / projector)? Otherwise either OAK-D-W or OAK-D-W-PoE (PoE communication, and IP65 rated enclosure). Thoughts?
      Thanks, Erik
