Hi there!
I wanted to mount an Oak-D S2 on an Nvidia Jet Bot. I was wondering if that level of vibration would be acceptable? Where in robotics would a consumer-grade autofocus lens be acceptable? (I presume some camera auto focusing mechanism can tolerate higher forces / frequencies).

    Hi tinducvo
Useful docs here on the AF vs FF color camera.

Some really mild vibrations (think slow electric rovers navigating around smooth floor), or entirely static robots (trapped robots) 🙂 Thoughts?

    Thanks, Erik

erik So, "anything that moves faster than a snail's pace without damping" will require the fixed focus variants.

That will be fine for my demo project. However, when requirements are more strenuous, are there specifications like maximum acceleration, bode plot, etc that could be used for selection? (In general / with Luxonis products)

tinducvo we haven't done full tests (yet) to know where exactly is the line where blurriness starts to occur, so it's best to try out for your specific application.
        Thanks, Erik

erik Appreciated Erik. This kind of characterization would differentiate Luxonis products even more.
